I know that probably sounds overly dramatic, but to one with a food addiction, it is a vicious cycle that is difficult to break free of. This sweet tooth has led to periods of binge eating (and sadly, purging as well) and feelings of guilt, lack of control, and basically misery. I am not a vegan by any means, but I have an incredible sweet tooth. I also want you to know that it has helped me tremendously.

I just wanted to let you know that I LOVE your website. Is it possible that my body has gotten used to this diet, and now I’m putting the weight back on because I’ve hit, like, a plateau or something? I have 3 kids, so I don’t get to “exercise”, but I do run around with them, do housework, and go for walks, but do I need to do more in order to lose more weight? I’ve never done well with calorie counting, and I’ve tried cutting out sweets all together, (but found I am on crabby mommy if I do that) and I love baking way too much to not do that! Just wanted your input on it, since you seem like you know your way around the kitchen and exercise world. Upon making this diet change, I in turn lost almost 50 lbs, (my baby weight+an extra 25 lbs) and felt so good! Now, after I have stopped nursing, I have started to notice that I have started to put weight back on, (only like 5 lbs, but still) and don’t feel as good as I used to. I could have started her on some dairy at a year old, but after reading how actually NOT good it is for you, I have opted to keep her dairy free, as well as myself. In order to continue nursing, I had to change my diet to both dairy and soy-free. I have a 17month old daughter, and when she was 3 months old, we found out that she had a dairy allergy. I LOVE YOUR STUFF! I too am a self-proclaimed “choco-holic”, but am finding that it’s taking a toll on me. Hey Katie- just stumbled upon your blog today while I was looking for a vegan recipe for German Chocolate Cupcakes to make for my brother’s birthday (who is the ultimate meat-eater, but I like to prove to him and the rest of my family that they’re just as yummy as regular). You should love yours, you’re so cute! No worries for you!) What are your plans for the future? I’m so impressed by you, you are really going places! And I wish you every happiness and blessing, you deserve them. You’re already doing great things with your life as a college student. We’re eating healthier and better since I found your site and I’m so grateful.

They just like them and ask for me to make more! Your recipes are the greatest thing for my family’s diet (as in what we eat, not weight-loss diet).

They never know the difference between vegan or mainstream, low-sugar or full strength, etc. I make them for my kids without telling them anything about them. I LOVE your website, and I’m totally amazed by your great recipes. Oh, wow! I thought I was the only one who calls my boys “puppers!” My guys are Eddie, a cute, loving mutt, and Kirby, who has the body of a fluffy little toy poodle and the soul of a Marine.
