Is it possible to use/install the seeddb.bin with FBI or with Godmode9 so that I can install the seed for a specific title, completely offline?
Or maybe some of you could in fact use the seeddb.bin file with FBI when I couldn't, because I lack knowledge about what to do with this whole seed situation, except that some games need it. Either FBI or Godmode9 would be preferable, but I am open to other suggestions.

So, in that regard, I've been making some preparations, like downloading backups of games, updates, and DLC for when that time comes so I can do everything offline, in case I need to (for example, SD card dies out and I need to install everything again on a new one, or any other kind of event that requires it).Īnd so, seeing as I have the seeddb.bin file in the support folder of Godmode9, yet I was not able to make use of it with FBI (had to let the app download the seed for Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 seed from the Nintendo servers), I was wondering if any of you know how to make use of this seeddb.bin file to extract and install the seed for any game that needs it. But I am thinking in the long run, when FBI won't be able to make a connection to Nintendo servers because the powers that be eventually put the eShop down for good.
After that, lo and behold, the game worked. So I run FBI again, select the title, hit A, and select "Import seed", which established a remote connection to Nintendo servers and downloaded the seed for the game. It is then that I remembered reading in another site that some newer games needed a seed in order to be playable, because they come with an extra layer of encryption, specifically the one introduced in firmware 9.6+ and that some (if not all new titles since then) have it. But I soon hit a wall when I tried running the game: it froze on the "Nintendo 3DS" screen, and an error message came up on the bottom screen. To give some context, I tried offline-installing Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, especifically the game, its update and its DLC, a process which went well: I got the CIAs for the game, the update, and the DLC from that iso site and then used FBI to install them. If it isn't, I would like to ask the mod checking this post to move it to the correct sub-forum instead of deleting it, if possible. I am not sure if this is the correct forum to talk about this tried visiting other forums and by viewing the topics here it made me think this is the correct sub-forum.
I have a question that has to do with the installation and use of seeddb.bin to play some games.
